Nigerian Dwarf Goats for Sale

All our babies are bottle raised and love human affection! We have baby Nigerian dwarf goats for sale (kids). We raise Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. Pygmy goats and fainting goats are also miniature goats but they are both meat breeds. Nigerian Dwarf goats are the only DAIRY dwarf goat.

Why Get Your Goat (doelings and bucklings)

  • Tiny but mighty land managers: Nigerian dwarf goats for sale are expert brush-clearers, munching on weeds, thistles, and invasive plants, making them perfect for maintaining your mini-homestead or farm.
  • Milk makers extraordinaire: These little goats produce rich, creamy milk (up to 1-2 quarts per day!) perfect for cheese-making, butter-churning, or just plain old drinking. Their milk is also high in butterfat, making it ideal for baking.
  • Foster friends for life: Nigerian Dwarf goats are social butterflies (err, goats!) who thrive on interaction. They’ll follow you around, nuzzle, and even give you gentle head-butts – making them fantastic companions.
  • Small space superstars: Due to their compact size (20-30 inches tall, 50-60 pounds), Nigerian Dwarf goats are perfect for small farms, homesteads, or even urban areas with limited space.  Their shelter should be dry with good ventilation, but out of the wind.  We recommend 10-12 sq. feet of indoor space per goat.  If you don’t have a small barn-a shed would be great.
  • Low-cost, high-reward farming: Nigerian Dwarf goats are relatively inexpensive to purchase and maintain compared to larger breeds. Plus, their small size means less feed and housing costs.
  • Manure magic: Their tiny poop pellets are easy to manage and make excellent fertilizer for your garden or orchard.
  • Entertainment committee: Nigerian Dwarf goats are known for their playful antics, acrobatic feats, and adorable expressions – providing endless entertainment and laughter.
  • Sustainable lawn care: These goats will happily “mow” your lawn, eliminating the need for gas-guzzling lawn mowers and reducing your carbon footprint.
  • Educational opportunities: Nigerian Dwarf goats can be a great teaching tool for kids (and adults!) about sustainable living, animal husbandry, and responsibility.
  • Therapy potential: With their gentle nature and affectionate personalities, Nigerian dwarf goats for sale can be trained as therapy animals, providing comfort and joy to those in need.
  • Breeding and showing: For those interested in showing or breeding, Nigerian Dwarf goats have a strong competitive scene and can be a fun and rewarding hobby.

Goat Sale Policy

Goats are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a goat, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the purchase price is required. This deposit covers the cost of housing and feeding the goat while it is being held and compensates us for the potential loss of sale if the buyer backs out.

  • If the goat passes away while under our care, the deposit may be applied to another available goat or refunded in full.

  • If we, the seller, cancel the sale for any reason, the deposit will be fully refunded.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a sale at any time, for any reason, without explanation.

  • We also reserve the right to retain any goat.

To ensure the well-being of our animals, we will not sell a single goat unless it will be housed with at least one other goat. The health and welfare of our goats is our top priority.

Kid Reservations

We maintain a reservation list for kids. There is no fee to be on the list.  We will reach out to you when kids are born that match your request.  If you change your mind, or we don’t hear back from you within 48 hours, we simply move to the next person on the list.  A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to hold a kid once it has been born, and the balance is due at time of pickup.  We retain the right to keep any kid of our choosing and we also retain the right to make decisions on who to offer available kids to (though we do try to stick to the order in which we were contacted to be added to the reservation list).

Health Guarantee

All Nigerian dwarf goats for sale are sold healthy and up to date on vaccinations, hoof trimming, and deworming. However, once a goat leaves our property, we cannot guarantee its health, as external factors beyond our control may affect its well-being.  You are welcome to have a veterinarian come to our farm to do a health check prior to picking up your goat at your own expense.

All kids will be disbudded (unless they are born naturally polled), no exceptions. We do not guarantee that scurs will not develop.

Reproductive Guarantee

If a licensed veterinarian determines that a goat is incapable of reproduction due to a genetic defect present at birth, the buyer may be eligible for a replacement goat of equal value. A signed veterinary report must be submitted.

  • Infertility caused by environmental factors such as mineral deficiencies or obesity does not qualify for a replacement. Only goats with a proven genetic defect will be eligible.

  • This does not apply to wethers, or does that were sold under the pretense that they would just be a pet and not used for breeding.
